ACCESSIBILITY

Persons with mobility issues or disabilities should always email us or call the Administrator on 01948 662880 to ask about the suitability of access for any of the events. Please also look the Accessibility statement on the Information/Company Statements section of the website.

THE ABBEY

Please be aware that the house is only partially accessible for wheelchairs. The most important room in the house is on the first floor, and it is not possible to accommodate visitors with severe mobility problems.  For visitors with hearing or sight impairments please let us know in advance and we can tailor our tour to accommodate you wherever possible.

THE WALLED GARDENS

The five and a half acres of walled garden have central hard paths which allow substantial visibility of the gardens.  With good weather and ground conditions, the lawns can be accessed by wheelchair if pushed.  The pathways in the Fruit Tree Maze allow access to the Glasshouse and to a fully disabled toilet.

THE GARDEN WOOD & PLEASURE GARDEN

The Pleasure Garden has no hard paths, and is not wheel chair accessible without an assistant to push.  The adjacent wood is on a slope down to the mere and not accessible for wheelchairs or for people with serious mobility issues.

THE HOLIDAY COTTAGES

Please look at the Company Statement for the full description of accessibility for each of the holiday cottages.
