Group tours and visits

THE COMBERMERE GARDENS

Combermere Abbey is delighted to welcome groups of visitors and this year introduces new and expanded guided tours of the restored gardens between April and October, by prior arrangement.

You can explore the fully restored Walled Gardens - with the Fruit Tree Maze, (the only one in the world!) the Geometric Garden and Pavilion Garden; wander through the beautiful Pleasure Gardens, with trees dating back to the early 19th century and the Garden Wood leading to the Mere and its fabulous views and wildlife. You will walk past the Ice House snuggled into the wood!

Groups will hear about the fascinating history of the house and its occupants, in the company of Patrick Driscall our head gardener and Lynette Mason. The tour takes up to three hours including refreshments in the Glasshouse, and can be booked in the morning or afternoon on weekdays subject to prior arrangement.

The minimum number of people required for a Group Tour is 20.

N.B. Please enquire of the maximum coach size permitted when booking as certain restrictions apply.

ACCESS.

The Walled Gardens can now be accessed by wheelchairs and the newly resurfaced carpark makes it possible to get vehicles to the outer perimeter without a problem.  There are now toilet facilities (including a disabled toilet) in the walled gardens for visitors.

Please call the Estate Office to arrange any booking on 01948 662880 or email via the Contact us section.

Abbey Tours will be included again as soon as we have a date for them following the conclusion of the restoration works
