Abbey Scoops Cheshire Tourism Award
Combermere Abbey cottages are among the winners of Marketing Cheshire's Annual Awards 2012, having won the category, ‘Self Catering Holiday Provider of the Year'.
Sarah Callander Beckett, Combermere Abbey's owner, was thrilled to receive this accolade at a glittering black tie event held on Friday 23rd November at the European HQ of M&S Bank in Chester.
She exclaimed:
"We are absolutely
thrilled to win this prestigious regional award and go on to represent Cheshire
at the national Awards next year. This is testimony to two decades of my work
on the estate and the loyalty, support and hard work of a fabulous team around
me!"
Combermere
Abbey cottages were judged alongside other excellent self catering providers in
Cheshire, and were particularly noted for their great attention to detail,
awareness of their target market, good use of branding and strong green ethics.
The cottages
will now go straight through to represent Cheshire in the national Visit
England Awards for Excellence 2013.
The
cottages benefited from extensive work last year and the development of three
further cottages, making a total of ten. The cottages are popular with wedding
guests at the Abbey estate, as well as leisure guests visiting the Cheshire and
Shropshire region.
