Crossley

Responding to the increased demand for smaller group holidays, we are pleased to introduce our first cottage sleeping 10! A complete wing of the original Stables has now been transformed into luxurious, modernised accommodation complete with on suite bathrooms, sitting room and separate library/TV room and large eat-in kitchen/dining room.

One enters the cottage from the car park directly into a spacious elegant sitting room decorated in shades of duck egg, butterscotch and light grey with large picture window onto the courtyard. A fireplace with gas fire is surrounded by comfortable furniture. Stepping up into the dining area with its bespoke table and seating arrangement, it opens onto a beautifully equipped kitchen with integrated appliances including dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven and microwave. A sleek steel hob and fridge/freezer complete it. Next to the sitting room is the dedicated TV room with large sofa, bean bags and bookshelves. With its flat screen TV and Video/DVD player it is a perfect retreat for watching films and sport, leaving quiet space for the readers in the sitting room!

Upstairs from the sitting room there are two bedrooms, on the left, a large spacious twin bedroom which will clip and link, in sophisticated shades of green. Airy and light, it has antique oak furniture and upholstered chairs. The en-suite shower room is fully tiled in warm butterscotch travertine with a heated towel rail and large mirror. On the right, a large spacious double bedroom decorated in tones of gentle grey and white, with highlights of rich purple linen. The impressive king size bed is covered in a leopard fur throw. An eccentric painted mirror sits above the dressing table/desk. Next door is a bathroom full of character with antique basin and roll-top bath and attached shower.

On the ground floor, along the passage which connects the two original cottages, is a ground floor double bedroom and en-suite bathroom with overhead shower. Fully tiled, with large mirror and heated towel rail, the adjacent bedroom has a king-size bed, with fur throw, gothic wardrobe and desk/dressing table. Leading to a hallway with original stable tiled floor, the door leads out onto the cobbled courtyard.

Up the stairs there are two further bedrooms; the double with its king size bed is decorated in a fresh blue and white floral linen and striped linen valence. A walk in cupboard and chest of drawers in oak set off the large watercolour paintings. The en-suite shower is fully tiled with large mirror and heated towel rail. At the end of the passage is a twin room decorated in gentle tones of mauve, duck-egg and fawn linen. Accented with pine furniture and a comfortable upholstered chair, it exudes warmth.

This cottage is perfect for a group of friends on a weekend break or two families. As a wonderfully self-contained unit for up to 10 people, it offers the choice of two sitting rooms accommodating different interests and a good size area for eating together.
