  • Videos and DVD's - We have a large selection of both children's and adults.
  • Visitor Information on local places of intrest and events for guests to browse at lesiure.
  • GIFTS Etc...Postcards of the cottages and the estate, estate produce, jams, jellies and chutneys from the maze fruit, and momentos are available to purchase.

OPEN INVOICE:  We open an 'invoice' for each guest upon arrival. Purchases of food, postcards etc can be added and paid for on departure so guests do not have to be troubled by paying during their stay.

WINE LIST:
We are fully licensed to sell alcohol, and have an excellent in-house list of champagne, sparkling, red, white and rose wine for guests to choose from.  Chosen from a small bespoke local wine merchant, you can order a supply in advance, top up during your stay by simply calling the office or housekeeper, or take from the basket in your cottage.

BICYCLES, TENNIS RACQUETS, CROQUET: These are all available for guests to borrow during their stay.  We request that they are returned after use each time, and that bicycles are not taken for more than a 24 hour period before being returned to the designated racks for them. All equipment is provided for your use and enjoyment during your stay, however, Combermere Abbey does not accept responsibility for any accident, damage or injury caused to persons or property.

PARKING:  Important information about parking is also found on the Directions page, but guests are requested not to park where notices identify, and to use the area allocated for their specific cottages.  If cottage residents are expecting outside guests during their stay, please let the office or housekeeper know, and adequate parking can be arranged.

ABBEY TOURS:
Combermere Abbey is a house with over 875 years of history, and whereever possible, we are delighted to offer our holiday cottage guests a chance to tour Combermere Abbey, while they are staying with us.  As it is a private home, tours can be arranged for groups of 4 or more persons during the weekdays only.  These must be booked in advance, and are subject to the availability of our in-house guide.  Tours take approximately an hour.  £5.50 per adult; £3.50 per child under 16.

Please Note: The house is Grade 1 listed, and accessiblity for wheelchair users is limited to the ground floor only.  Currently the Library is undergoing repair, so visitors are restricted to viewing from the hall doorway.
